2024 sees a new entry into the Weber Traveler range - The Weber Compact Traveler is a better option for most as it can be stored away easier .In 2021, Weber launched the original Weber Traveler Gas BBQ - this is a fantastic grill and is great for camping trips BUT it took up a lot of space, especially for those who owned a normal family car. This is 25% smaller than the original, but packs nearly as much power - 3.5kw instead of the larger version's 3.8kw capability. If you are going away on a camping trip in a normal family car with a tent and a bit of luggage then we would recommend this version. If you have a large SUV or a caravan, then we would recommend the original Weber Traveler.

Akin to it's predecessor, the Weber Traveler Compact has the same great features. Like its big brother, it has a one-handed set-up and fold down. This mechanism ensures the BBQ is compact when stowed away and not in use and easily erectile when you want to start grilling. When folded down the automatic red Weber branded lid lock ensures the lid remains closed and grill grates are secured inside, even when the BBQ is stood up on its side - so there is no need to do any assembly or disassembly between your barbecues - check out this mechanism in this very quick video:

All of the Weber Traveler BBQs in the range run as standard off a portable gas canister (EN417) but it is possible to convert your Traveler so that it can run off a larger Patio (Calor) or Leisure (FloGas) Gas bottle, with the additional purchase of a Weber Adaptor Kit. The gas canisters last for about 30-45 minutes, dependent on what you are cooking and a few other factors including the weather.

Not only does this BBQ look great with its porcelain enameled finished lid and cook box for durability and heat retention, but it works incredibly well and is perfect for grilling stereotypical BBQ food such as steak, sausages and burgers. This BBQ is capable of reaching temperatures in excess of 280°C and the temperature is measured by a lid mounted thermometer.

This is a portable BBQ, but don't think of this as one of those disposable BBQs that you might have used when you first moved out of home, this BBQ is big enough to grill up to 8-10 burgers at a time. Not only that, these burgers will come out looking incredible. The cast iron porcelain enameled grates will help caramelize the meat and offer restaurant grade char lines. Attach your gas canister and with the turn to light piezo ignition your BBQ is ignited with the help of a single stainless steel burner that produces high and constant heat around the entire BBQ. Turn the dial to control the heat output. Gentle low grilling, perfect for sausages or crank it up for the searing of steaks.

An ample and rigid side preparation table allows you to rest small plates or prepare food and there are integrated tool hooks that easily allow you to hang your BBQ's utensils.

The steel stand design has 2 injection molded wheels for a smooth pull.

Fat that heats the hot cook box vaporizes and turns to smoke, fantastic for flavour. Any fat that is not vaporized will run down the cookbox's grease management funnel down into a removable catch pan which facilitates the use of disposable drip pans for easy and fuss free clean up.
